Source search
Search saved decisionsSearch directly at the sources, including older decisions that have not been scanned. This does not change automatic scans, source settings or your saved decisions. Only decisions you choose to save are added to the app.
SMB sources search a separate local full-text index of PDF and Word files. These results and file downloads are public. For these sources the date filter means file modification date (UTC), not decision date. Manage folders and indexing on the Sources page.
Searching is public. Log in to save selected decisions.
Search coverage and results
- Leave dates empty to search without a date restriction. Each source uses its own date ordering. More results load as you scroll; Load more / Retry buttons are also available. Initial results and subsequent batch sizes can be changed under Settings → Results and scrolling.
- Domsdatabasen: native text search, including document text and metadata. Documents are grouped by case; with date filters, the displayed date and document refer to the matching period.
- Højesteret: the court's own search of summaries and case numbers.
- HUDOC: native full-text search across judgments, decisions, legal summaries, communicated cases and advisory opinions, in all available languages.
- EUR-Lex: case-law titles in all available languages, CELEX identifiers, ECLI and C-/T-case numbers; not the full judgment text. Results prefer Danish titles, with English fallback.
- Subject: choose one of the subjects registered on saved decisions (type a few letters, e.g. “Fr”). It is sent to each source as search text together with any search words, so results depend on the source's own search engine – not on the stored classification. The hint shows which sources the subject is registered in, and Search only these sources selects them.
- Words are passed to each source's search engine, so matching rules and language coverage vary. Try English for HUDOC and EUR-Lex.
- Searches run on the server in the background. You can leave the page (for example to read a saved decision) and return via Source search; the latest search and its results are restored. Stop search cancels all sources still searching, and each source can also be stopped separately.
- Read opens the built-in reader without saving. Source search in the reader returns to the same search and result. Search results can be read or saved for two hours after retrieval. Saving fetches additional details and applies your topics and areas. Already saved decisions are not overwritten.
